About Jackson
As a teacher I do not strive to only lecture, but do employed and used different instructional
strategies, technologies and resources to teach. This puts me in the role of a course designer,
discussion facilitator, a coach or a mentor, whose job is to ensure that students become activate
participants in the learning process. Students will used and applied the knowledge and skills acquired to
meet life challenges and solve real-world problems. I further believe that I'm an individual who can interpret
information, experiences and wisdom from Mathematics into relevant knowledge that students
can understand, retain and pass on to others.

As a mathematics teacher it is my goal to establish a sound knowledge and skill set that students will
built on to be proficient in math. Research have shown that using best practices, evidence-based and
artful teaching skills are the cores in showing students how to think deeply and critically about math.
Mathematics is appreciated if students understand and can make sense of it. This will make them to
apply the concepts learned to solve real-world application problems. Math and its applications
becomes relevant for students to love rather than dread
