About Yusra
I am an IB student who values education and helping others. The past few years, I have tutored my classmates and other students and supported them in achieving higher grades and a better understanding of math. I have taught very young students as well, starting with the foundations of math and concepts like addition. In a similar way, I will always start with teaching the basic information and then building up from there.

For teaching, I generally use different methods to help suit the student whether it's through examples and visuals or verbal explanation. I like to start with some warm-ups with problems from last session or simple problems to get ready for the topic. Then, I go over the general rules and walk through some problems, explaining thoroughly what is done in each step and "the science behind it" to help the student understand fully, as any confusion will lead to lack of knowledge.
I am a high school student myself in higher level math and I have helped classmates no matter their grades in their class or how much information they have about the topic. I am very patient with every student and adjust to their level, offering a safe space for learning that not every tutor provides.
My lessons are for any high school student needing help in math, specifically for algebra (any level), geometry, trigonometry, precalc, and IB SL analysis or applications Y1.

Me and Yusra are cousins, and earlier this year Yusra was my mathematics tutor on the weekends. She went throughly into each concept I didn’t understand and found my weak spots really fast. She is calm even if you get a problem wrong and will explain it by doing the problem and showing you how to do it. Then she will give you more problems like that. All concepts she taught me stuck with me till now! I recommend her if you are looking for a calm, social and smart tutor.
