About Billy
My teaching approach is simple and adaptive, depending on the level. Beginner (500 - 1000 Elo): - Introduction to tactics. Incremental level progression per session and step-by-step guidance. Guided calculation. - Introduction to general opening principles (we don't want you to lose because of weak openings!) Intermediate (1000 - 1600 Elo): - Building an opening repertoire - Development of your chess knowledge, must-known games - Setting goals (casual play or tournament objectives) - Introduction to strategic and positional concepts Advanced (1600 - 2000 Elo): - Strengthening the opening repertoire - Advanced tactics (we don't miss anything!) - Introduction to endgames Expert: - Customized training, contact for a quote ;)
