About Scott

Hello! I'm Mr Hudson, a qualified and experienced international teacher with a strong background in Physics and Engineering. I hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Exeter and a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status from the University of Bristol. Over the past 11 years, I’ve taught Physics at IGCSE and A-Level in both the UK and internationally, including in Chile and El Salvador. I am passionate about education and committed to helping students reach their full potential. I believe that great teaching is built on trust, clarity, and enthusiasm. My lessons are designed to be engaging, well-structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I use innovative technology and research-backed teaching methods to make complex concepts more accessible and enjoyable to learn. As someone who keeps up to date with the latest developments in cognitive science and pedagogy, I ensure that my teaching strategies are not only effective but also rooted in the science of how we learn best. Whether you’re aiming for top grades, need help building confidence, or want to improve your understanding, I’m here to guide you every step of the way with professionalism, patience, and a genuine passion for teaching.

About the lesson

As a qualified international teacher with over a decade of experience, I bring a structured yet flexible approach to tutoring that’s rooted in both subject expertise and the science of how students learn best. I hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Exeter and a PGCE with Qualified Teacher Status from the University of Bristol. I’ve spent the past several years teaching Physics at both IGCSE and A-Level, with additional experience teaching in Chile and El Salvador. My lessons typically last 45 minutes and are carefully planned to suit each student’s individual needs. I use a range of evidence-based teaching techniques, including retrieval practice, dual coding, and spaced learning, to help students retain knowledge and build deep understanding. I also incorporate interactive technology such as simulations, quizzes, and digital whiteboards to keep sessions engaging and student-centred. Whether you’re preparing for an important exam, struggling with specific concepts, or aiming to deepen your understanding, my lessons are designed to support and challenge you at the right level. I tutor students aged 14–18 working towards Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Physics, and I adapt my lessons to match different learning styles and abilities. My goal is always the same: to make learning effective, enjoyable, and empowering.
