About Abhishek
I am a Senior Product Security Engineer and Technical Lead with over 10 years of experience in cybersecurity. My career has spanned some of the most respected names in the industry — I started with penetration testing and red team engagements at PwC, moved into application security consulting at Synopsys where I conducted BSIMM assessments and helped organizations mature their security programs, then led product security initiatives at Citrix where I established security champion programs and implemented secure SDLC practices. Most recently, I worked at Atlassian, where I built an AI-powered threat modeling platform and led security for high-revenue products.
I hold industry-recognized certifications including CISSP, eWPTX (eLearnSecurity Web Application Penetration Tester eXtreme), and AWS Solutions Architect Associate. My technical expertise covers application security, cloud security architecture, container and Kubernetes security, DevSecOps, and penetration testing.
Beyond the technical side, I am passionate about helping others grow in this field. Having mentored junior engineers, built security champion communities, and navigated my own career across multiple countries and roles, I understand the challenges that come with breaking into cybersecurity or leveling up to senior positions.
