I offer private piano lessons, vocal lessons, music production lessons, and songwriting coaching using a structured, student-focused approach designed to build confidence, technique, and real musical ability. My teaching style is practical, supportive, and tailored to each student’s level, goals, and learning style, whether you are a complete beginner or an intermediate musician.
Lessons focus on clear fundamentals such as piano technique, rhythm, coordination, vocal breathing, pitch control, tone, and vocal health, as well as songwriting skills including chord progressions, melody writing, lyrics, and song structure. A typical lesson includes warm-ups, targeted technique exercises, practical application through songs or original music, and a clear practice plan so students know exactly how to improve between sessions.
As a working musician, charting recording artist, and experienced tutor, I emphasize understanding music rather than memorization, helping students build confidence, creativity, and consistency. Lessons are available for teens and adults in 30, 60, or 90 minute formats online with no prior musical training or degree required!

Michael is an absolutely fantastic teacher. He is kind, patient, and super funny. The kids love him, and they learn a whole lot. He’s stellar, I could not recommend enough.
I’ve never had a mentor quite like Michael, his patience and kindness always goes the extra mile. Not only is Michael extremely knowledgeable, but like a good leader he wins you over with his relentless honesty, support and respect.
So commutative and respectful! Michael helped me understand rudimentary concepts that propelled my music career to unprecedented levels! thank you Michael, best teacher ever.
It is extremely rare to see someone posses such strong understanding of as many topics as Michael does! When starting, I was surprised and pleased but how comfortable he made me feel during lessons. I can't speak any higher of this man!
