About Kennedy

I feel very passionately about making test-taking feel less daunting for my students. Despite the way standardized test scores are prioritized for college admissions, they don't define one's intelligence. It's just about individualizing one's learning experience. I struggled with tests in high school but ended up scoring a 36 on both the English and Reading sections. I now attend Columbia University where I'm a Dean's List student. Gaining confidence in my test-taking abilities played a big role in that, and I'd like to help someone else achieve similar academic goals as well.

About the lesson

I tailor my lessons to each specific student to meet them where they’re at and improve from there. We would start with both a mock exam and an initial session to discuss where they personally feel are their strengths and areas of difficulty. I believe in working through test questions in real time, so we can target the missteps in the moment and build new habits in their place. Sessions would primarily be spent doing this and discussing any questions that have come up doing practice questions outside of our lessons (practice outside sessions are necessary to work on time management within the given amount of testing time).
