About Iris
I am a graduate of the Charles H Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management within Cornell's SC Johnson College of Business. I started my career off in investment banking and venture capital, but decided to return back to my passion for teaching and mentoring students. I have tutored individuals and taught group SAT/ACT tutoring classes, and have truly enjoyed being able to empower my students to achieve their goals and build confidence in their abilities.

My pedagogical approach takes a highly-personalized view of my students' goals, strengths, and areas of desired improvement. I believe in strong encouragement and empowering student growth.
SAT and ACT tutoring are both offered. Typical lessons focus on identification of knowledge gaps and providing guided practice of specific areas for improvement. I have tutored both privately and in group classes, with an average SAT section improvement of 50 points and average ACT section improvement of 4 points.
