About Xavier
Hi! I’m a passionate Japanese tutor with 6 years of experience studying the language, including AP Japanese. I began learning in middle school and have continued ever since. Japanese has been a big part of my life, and I still study daily to keep improving. I specialize in working with beginner and intermediate learners. Because I’ve gone through the same learning process, I understand the common challenges and how to explain concepts clearly and simply. My goal is to make students feel comfortable, supported, and confident in their abilities. I offer structured yet flexible lessons that focus on practical skills like speaking, listening, reading, and grammar, always tailored to your pace and goals. Whether you're in school, preparing for a test, or learning for fun, I’m here to help you succeed.

Japanese Tutoring – Beginner to Intermediate | $25/hr Online
I specialize in helping beginner and intermediate students build a solid foundation in Japanese. Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve grammar, vocabulary, or conversation skills, my lessons are tailored to your goals and learning style.
My Teaching Method:
I use a clear, supportive approach with a mix of structured lessons, interactive practice, and cultural context. I focus on real understanding, breaking down grammar, improving pronunciation, and helping students feel confident using the language.
A typical lesson includes:
Quick review of previous material
New topic introduction (grammar, vocab, or reading)
Guided practice through conversation, exercises, or games
Wrap-up with a short review and study tips
What Sets Me Apart:
As someone who learned Japanese in a U.S. school system (including AP Japanese), I understand the challenges new learners face. I explain concepts in a way that’s relatable and easy to grasp. I also offer encouragement, patience, and practical tips from my own experience.
Who It's For:
These lessons are ideal for middle school, high school, or college students studying Japanese or anyone self-learning at a beginner to intermediate level.
Let’s make learning Japanese fun, effective, and stress free! Flexible online scheduling is available.
