About Sharafa Rabeya

I am a JLPT N4 and N5 certified Japanese language instructor with a genuine connection to Japan, having been born and raised across Shimane and Nagoya, where I spent the first decade of my life immersed in the language and culture. This upbringing gave me a natural fluency and cultural depth that goes far beyond what textbooks can offer. I hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy from BRAC University, Dhaka, reflecting the academic discipline and dedication I bring to every lesson. I currently teach at an established language school, where I develop structured lesson plans, prepare tailored learning materials, and conduct regular assessments to track each student's progress. My lessons cover all four core skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and are designed to build genuine communicative confidence alongside exam readiness. I work with beginners through to intermediate learners, including adults and older teens preparing for JLPT N5 or N4 examinations or simply looking to communicate confidently in Japanese. Sessions are typically 60 minutes and are adapted to suit each student's pace, goals, and availability. I am currently based in Melbourne and pursuing a master's degree, and I am committed to bringing the same professionalism and passion for Japanese language education to every student I work with.

About the lesson

I am a JLPT N4 and N5 certified Japanese language instructor, born and raised across Shimane and Nagoya, Japan, where I spent the first decade of my life developing natural fluency in the language. I currently teach at an established language school with hands-on experience preparing students for JLPT N5 and N4 levels, and I am actively self-studying toward N3. My lessons focus on all four core skills — speaking, listening, reading, and writing — structured but conversational, with real-life scenarios woven in so students build confidence beyond just passing exams. I prepare tailored worksheets and materials for each learner and track progress through regular assessments and feedback. My lessons are suited to beginners through to intermediate learners, including adults and older teens looking to build practical Japanese communication skills or prepare for JLPT examinations. Sessions are typically 60 minutes, adjustable based on your goals and availability.
