I begin a standard lesson by first warming up with practice questions or puzzles and going over what was learned in the previous session.
I then break down problem areas systematically and take care of any misunderstandings as well as find areas where the extra practice would be beneficial or necessary.
After covering new material or lessons I will use the final 5-10 minutes of class to ensure my student understands what they have been taught and are prepared for the next lesson.
