About Padraic

Worked in metal welding and fabrication and repair for many years before deciding to go back to school. Just graduated from University of Wisconsin - Superior with a double major in mathematics and computer science. Spent 3 years studying electric engineering at TAU in Israel. I love computer architecture and have a big interest in quantum computing. Currently a fellow at Great Oaks Charter in NJ through AmeriCorps tutoring and mentoring students in mathematics and computer science.

About the lesson

I really enjoy the experience of teaching one on one, to try to figure out how to get the student to absorb as much information as possible. I find that it takes getting to know the student enough to be able to apply effective analogies. If a student is having a hard time understanding something, switching up the analogies seems to work well. Provided you can find one that the student can relate to. I can tutor in all math subjects encountered in a typical undergrad curriculum as well as number of computer science, physics/engineering and philosophy subjects as well.
