I highly recommend Matthew as a chess coach for both children and adults. What stands out most about him is not only his deep knowledge of the game, but the way he teaches with such patience, encouragement, and genuine kindness. He is incredibly approachable and never judgmental, no matter where someone is in their chess journey.
Matthew is truly gifted as a teacher, and his passion for chess and for helping others learn shines through in every interaction. Anyone learning from him—whether a beginner or a more experienced player—is fortunate to have him as a coach.Matthew is a great teacher! He’s helped me learn the fundamentals of chess and he’s very passionate and patient. He really does take the time to find what works best for his students.
