As a teacher my main focus has always been to help students in understanding the topics in hand better and more naturally.
1. Student-Centric Approach
Start by understanding the student’s level, strengths, and weaknesses. Customize lessons instead of using a one-size-fits-all method.
2. Clear Learning Objectives
Before every session, define what the student should achieve by the end (e.g., “Understand tenses” or “Solve quadratic equations”).
3. Interactive Teaching
Avoid one-way lectures. Use:
Questions and answers
Live quizzes
Discussions
Real-life examples
4. Concept Clarity First
Focus on building strong fundamentals instead of rote learning. Break down complex topics into simple steps.
5. Use of Digital Tools
Make sessions engaging with:
PPTs or visual slides
Whiteboard tools
Videos and animations
Online worksheets
6. Regular Practice
Provide:
Class exercises
Homework
Weekly tests
This reinforces learning and builds confidence.
7. Feedback & Assessment
Give timely feedback on performance:
Highlight mistakes
Suggest improvements
Track progress regularly
