About Catherine
I’m Catherine, a native French speaker from Quebec with a background in social work and a deep appreciation for meaningful human connections.
Beyond language, I’m passionate about Quebec culture — its music, films, expressions, and unique identity. I love spending time in nature: hiking, canoeing, foraging wild plants, and observing the changing seasons. Nature keeps me grounded, and that calm presence naturally carries into my sessions.
I enjoy thoughtful conversations and authentic exchanges. Whether we talk about culture, daily life, personal growth, or the outdoors, I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable, curious, and confident speaking French.

I'd love to help you discover not only the French language, but also the richness of Québec's culture.
If you already know some French but feel stuck when speaking, I can help you become more natural, fluent, and comfortable in real conversations.
I specialize in:
- Québec French expressions and pronunciation
- Conversational French (everyday & professional situations)
- Interview and workplace practice
- Improving confidence and fluency
- Gentle corrections and vocabulary expansion
I'm passionate about the French language, especially Québec French, and I love sharing our culture through music, literature, history, and everyday expressions. I've taken university courses in French phonetics and French history, and I use this knowledge to enrich every lesson with cultural and linguistic insights.
Every session is personalized to your goals, interests, and pace. I believe language is best learned through meaningful conversations and authentic content, so my lessons are interactive, practical, and adapted to what motivates you. At the end of each lesson, you'll receive a personalized summary of what we've covered, including key vocabulary, expressions, and corrections, so you can continue practicing with confidence.
Whether you're preparing for a move to Québec or Canada, improving your professional communication, or simply looking to speak more naturally, I'll be happy to guide you every step of the way.

Catherine is incredibly enthusiastic and an exceptional communicator. She will adapt to your level and personality. Very patient, she doesn't hesitate to repeat explanations again and again with kindness. She was a great help in improving my language skills. I noticed the difference during a recent trip to France.
