About Simone

I have been teaching for over a decade and I guess my experience in teaching Portuguese and English along those years has given me the necessary approach to understand the needs of every single student. As a result, I had one of my students learning effective Portuguese and English to be prepared to deal with daily situations in a country like Brazil. I also bring curiosities about our culture, social issues and of course, the language itself.

About the lesson

I am a Brazilian journalist based in Dudley, living in the UK since 2011. I have over 20 years of experience teaching English in Brazil to all levels of students: Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced ones. I also helped students in learning English for business and tourism.

I have been teaching Portuguese to foreigners since I moved to the UK in 2011. My experience here also includes working as an Interpreter in Portuguese and English and also helping student applicants for GCSE in Portuguese. I also have experience in teaching CELPE - Bras certification.

My lessons are focused on Brazilian Portuguese. My aim is to present to the student the particularities of Portuguese as a second language using the internet, music, films, and all kinds of interactive material. My methodology can vary according to the client’s request and needs.

Simone was my Brazilian Portuguese teacher for about 3 years, I learnt so much from her, her teaching style worked so well for me, we talked, we read and even sang Brazilian songs together to help me learn. She has such a positive energy to life and is an absolute breath of fresh air to have in your life. I cannot recommend Simone enough!
