About MELISSA
Hello! My name is Melissa, and I am a Brazilian speech-language pathologist with over 23 years of experience in communication, language, and learning.
I teach Brazilian Portuguese online to adults who want to speak clearly, naturally, and with confidence. My professional background allows me to go beyond traditional language teaching and focus on pronunciation, listening comprehension, rhythm, and natural speech flow.
I truly enjoy helping my students feel comfortable expressing themselves in Portuguese and discovering how the language sounds and works in real-life communication.

I am a graduate of UNIFESP (Federal University of São Paulo) and have completed several specialization courses in language development, learning, and literacy.
My lessons are:
• Structured and goal-oriented
• Personalized to each student’s needs
• Focused on pronunciation, vocabulary, and listening
• Based on evidence-based practices
Instead of memorizing rules, students learn how Portuguese is spoken in everyday situations, developing confidence step by step.
