About Fathima

I am a master's student pursuing MCA at Vellore Institute of Technology(VIT). I have been teaching students coding from the basics now for 3years. I tutor students for 10th, 11th and 12th standard for ICSE and CBSE board and help them understand from the basic concepts to professional level coding. I also have been training persons on java development coding skills to those who had no touch with Computer Science field and helped them creating some apps and games.

About the lesson

The teaching of computer programming is one of the greatest challenges that have remained for years in Computer Science Education. A particular case is computer programming course for the beginners. While the traditional objectivist lecture-based approaches do not actively engage students to achieve their learning outcome, I believe that integrating some cutting-edge processes and practices like agile method into the teaching approaches will be leverage. Agile software development has gained widespread popularity and acceptance in the software industry and integrating the ideas into teaching will be constructive. In the educational system, while the positive impact of agile principles has been felt on students’ projects, none has been experienced on the teaching aspect. Therefore, this paper proposes the use of agile process in the teaching of first year programming courses. The goal is to help the beginners develop their programming skills, proffer a teaching technology that maximizes students’ chances of engagement, improve teaching as teachers reflects on what they are teaching and what the students are learning. Additionally, beginners will be able to operate the computer, program, and improve their programming skills through active team collaboration as well as managing large classes effectively by the teacher.

Perfect! She is an excellent teacher, super friendly and very flexible in her timings. As I'm in Dubai, the time difference was an issue with her online classes in India, but she is very flexible in her timings and dedicated. I highly recommend her for Computer Programming subjects. I'm enjoying an in-person class in her online sessions.

Perfect! Fathima is a great tutor, actually one of the best I've met. She takes through every doubt you have and explain it well, with examples and if needed explains it multiple times. This shows that Fathima understands your struggle and she is very patient. Teaching method is very systematic and we move according to my growth in knowledge.
I am very grateful to meet her and I am looking forward to my programming and scripting journey having her as a tutor.
