About Soumi
Hello! I’m Soumi, a doctoral researcher in English Literature and a university-level tutor. My academic work explores modern literature, philosophy, and critical theory, but my teaching goes beyond research — I love helping students at all levels find clarity and confidence in English. I have experience teaching Master’s students at my university as well as tutoring school and college learners outside it. From guiding BA/MA students through complex theories and dissertations, to supporting Class 10–12 students with grammar, literature, and exams, to helping anyone improve content writing and communication skills — I adapt my methods to each learner’s needs. For me, teaching isn’t just about covering the syllabus; it’s about making learning interactive, encouraging, and meaningful. I believe every student can grow with the right mix of patience, guidance, and inspiration.

English doesn’t have to feel overwhelming or boring — it can be clear, engaging, and even exciting! In my classes, I help: • BA & MA students: Break down complex theories, understand literature deeply, improve academic writing, and get guidance with dissertations, theses, and seminar papers. • Class 10–12 students: Strengthen grammar, sharpen comprehension, and build confidence for exams. • Anyone learning English: Improve fluency, communication, and content writing skills for real-life and professional use. My teaching combines clarity + creativity. I don’t just teach what’s in the syllabus; I help you think critically, write confidently, and enjoy the subject. Whether you’re preparing for exams, struggling with essays, working on a dissertation, or simply want to express yourself better — I’ll tailor each session to your goals and pace. Available in Bangur (in-person) & Online Learn English in a way that feels natural, supportive, and inspiring.
