About Miléna

------------------ ENGLISH ------------------
Hi!

Passionate about others' cultures, sports, music and sociology, globetrotter since 2020, I decided to leave my job as an architect to devote myself to teaching my mother tongue language: French.

I have learned Spanish and English by my own while living or traveling in multiple countries, mainly in South America. From this, I have experienced the difficulties of learning a new language, the importance of practice and the pleasure of learning :)

------------------ FRANCAIS ------------------

Salut !

About the lesson

My lessons are based on conversational practice, speaking French as much as possible to my students.
What I can offer you: simplification of the theory, personalised teaching, constant practice of the points to be worked on, with evolutions for long-term learning.

Depending on my student, I can use different materials (web articles, movies, games, academic exercises, ...), to build a broad lexical base, an everyday vocabulary, and the ability to express oneself in any situation.

To begin with, I will ask a lot questions, to get to know more about my student, to identify ones level, to understand the reason for using this platform (travel, expatriate life, study of French, ...), to understand ones difficulties, and to prepare adequate and personalised lessons. I

I look forward to speaking with you and teaching you this (not that hard and) beautiful language! ;)

Miléna

------------------ FRENCH ------------------

Milena has all the skills and the personality of a great French teacher. Particularly she is an amazingly kind person and a superb conversationalist. She is patient and gentle and provides appropriate guidance when you're struggling to formulate your thoughts into spoken French. As a well-traveled and well-read person, she always makes it look effortless to find subjects that interest you to speak about. Her relaxed and warm demeanor makes it feel like chatting with a friend. What an enjoyable learning experience!

When I first started taking lessons with Milena earlier this year, I was an absolute beginner. Now I feel comfortable talking to my French friends in French on most subjects.

I wholeheartedly recommend Milena whether you are a beginner like I was or an intermediate/advanced learner like I am.
