About Delilah
Hi! I’m a guitar tutor with over 12 years of experience, and I specialize in teaching college students. Whether you're just starting out or want to take your playing to the next level, I’m here to help you grow with confidence and creativity. My teaching style is flexible and student-focused. I design lessons based on your personal goals, interests, and skill level. I use a mix of modern and traditional techniques to keep learning fun and effective. This includes learning through songs, backing tracks, creative jamming, and simple music theory to make things easy to understand. I also focus on building strong fundamentals like finger placement, rhythm, and timing. I make sure every student not only learns to play but also understands the music behind what they’re playing. I bring patience, encouragement, and a positive vibe to every lesson, making sure you enjoy the journey. Let’s make learning guitar something you look forward to every day!

My teaching approach is flexible and student-centered. I understand that every learner is different, so I adapt my lessons to match each student’s goals, pace, and style. Whether you're learning guitar for fun, school, or a professional goal, I make sure the lessons stay enjoyable and productive. I focus on problem-solving by helping students overcome challenges step-by-step, building both skill and confidence.
I believe music is for everyone, so I bring cultural sensitivity into my lessons. No matter your background or experience, you'll feel supported and respected. I also take accountability seriously—I'm committed to helping you grow, and I encourage regular practice and honest feedback.
Along with guitar, I can teach related subjects like music theory, ear training, performance techniques, and songwriting. Whether you're into classical, jazz, electric, or acoustic guitar, I aim to help you not only play but also feel connected to the music.
