About Minjae
Hi! I’m Minjae, a friendly Korean tutor who teaches Korean through real conversations and K-culture. I’ve taught students from many countries and I love helping learners feel comfortable speaking Korean. I use K-pop, K-drama, and everyday expressions to make learning fun, natural, and easy to remember. My lessons are relaxed but structured, and I always adapt to your pace and goals. If you want practical Korean and enjoyable lessons, I’d love to learn with you!

My lessons are designed to help you learn Korean in a fun, natural, and effective way. I focus on creating a comfortable environment where you can speak confidently and learn at your own pace. Here’s what you can expect in my classes:
1. Conversation-Focused Lessons
You will speak Korean a lot during our sessions—usually 60–70% of the time.
Don’t worry about making mistakes! I encourage you to try, and I provide gentle, immediate feedback on pronunciation, phrasing, and grammar.
2. K-pop & K-drama Based Learning
I often use K-pop lyrics, K-drama scenes, and real-life expressions from Korean shows to teach natural language.
This helps you learn:
• real expressions Koreans actually use
• intonation and rhythm
• cultural nuances
• context-based vocabulary
Learning through content you already enjoy makes the process more fun and memorable.
3. Personalized Curriculum for Your Goals
Whether your goal is daily conversation, travel, pronunciation improvement, or understanding K-content without subtitles, I create a lesson plan tailored specifically for you.
Every student receives a customized learning path based on:
• your level
• your learning style
• your speed
• your personal goals
4. Clear and Simple Grammar Support
I explain grammar through patterns, not complicated rules.
You’ll learn grammar by:
1. understanding the pattern
2. practicing with examples
3. using it in real conversation
This helps you speak more naturally and confidently.
5. Practical, Real-Life Korean
We practice real situations such as:
• ordering food
• shopping
• asking for directions
• making small talk
• daily conversations
• casual and polite speech
I make sure everything you learn is something you can use immediately in real life.
6. Feedback & Progress Tracking
After each lesson, I provide personalized feedback or notes about:
• pronunciation
• sentence structure
• vocabulary to review
• expressions to practice
You’ll always know what to improve and what you’re doing well.
