About Cristina
I always loved sharing my language and culture with others. Teaching Spanish allows me to combine my passion for languages, my experience in education, and my love for helping people communicate confidently.
I enjoy creating lessons that are friendly, practical, and tailored to each student’s goals. For me, teaching is not just about grammar or vocabulary—it’s about inspiring confidence, making learning enjoyable, and helping students feel comfortable using Spanish in real life.
Outside of teaching, I have a wide range of interests that I love to share with my students. I enjoy travelling and discovering new cultures, gardening, singing and music, exploring art, and watching films. I bring this curiosity and enthusiasm into my lessons, making learning Spanish a dynamic and enjoyable experience.
I’m excited to guide you on your language journey and make every lesson meaningful and engaging.

Hi! I’m Cristina, a native Spanish speaker from Spain with over 7 years of experience giving private Spanish lessons in Madrid, plus 7 years working in early education in Ireland and the UK. I bring patience, creativity, and a practical approach to every lesson.
My teaching methodology is communicative and student-centred. I focus on real-life conversation, practical vocabulary, and confidence in speaking, while also integrating grammar and comprehension as needed. Lessons are relaxed, interactive, and adapted to your goals, whether you are a beginner starting from scratch or an adult looking to improve your fluency and conversation skills.
Typically, lessons last 60 minutes, but we can adjust depending on your needs. I aim to make each session engaging and productive, using dialogues, role-play, and exercises tailored to everyday situations like travel, work, or social interactions.
These lessons are ideal for adult learners, professionals, travellers, or anyone looking to speak Spanish confidently. I love creating a friendly and supportive environment where students feel comfortable practising, making mistakes, and improving step by step.
If you want practical, real-life Spanish and personalised guidance, I’ll help you enjoy learning the language while achieving your goals!

Cristina's the best!! We have been friends for years, but when she offered to help me with my Spanish, I realised just what a gifted teacher she truly is. She really makes an effort to help you understand without just flat out giving you all the answers - and take it from me, her kindness and patience is unshakeable... even by this 'tonto'!!
It was only when I witnessed how she spoke with her family that I realised just how much care she was taking with helping me progress. She would speak slower and more deliberately. She never gets angry. She never gives up on you. And then one day, I could follow what she and her family were saying... though I still need to get better at speaking - thanks to her, I have no doubt that I'll get there! She truly is one of a kind and couldn't recommend her enough!
A true good human, Thanks Cristina!! xCristina is a wonderful Spanish teacher. She gave me back the confidence to learn and speak without feeling afraid of making mistakes. She creates a safe space where I feel comfortable practicing and speaking about day-to-day real life situations. Her lessons include fun games to practice vocabulary, she explains things clearly, and she always encourages me. She is very patient and always has a smile, which makes the classes relaxed and enjoyable. I really recommend learning with her. Muchas gracias Cristina!!
