About Karuna
Hello! I am a passionate educator and creative artist holding a Postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout my academic journey, I discovered that the immense focus, patience, and meticulousness needed for advanced research completely mirrored the discipline required for traditional and modern calligraphy.
My own artistic journey began as a personal passion for hand-lettering and design, eventually expanding into specializing in structural lettering styles like Gothic calligraphy, modern brush scripts, and various drawing mediums. Over the years, I have successfully mentored students across academic levels, helping them find confidence and improve their focus.
I look forward to sharing the therapeutic joy of beautiful lettering with you. Beyond mastering scripts, my goal is to provide a warm, encouraging space where you can confidently explore your own creative voice!

My teaching philosophy centers on breaking down the complex, fluid movements of calligraphy into manageable, geometric steps. Because I come from a rigorous academic background, I do not just show you what to write—I explain the anatomy of each stroke, pen angles, and spatial layout so you can build true muscle memory.

Warm-up: Basic line drills to establish consistent hand pressure and rhythm.
Core Lesson: Step-by-step breakdown of specific script families (like Gothic or modern styles) focusing on letter geometry.
Practical Application: Working on word formations, spacing, and short design pieces.
Feedback: Real-time correction of form and pen positioning.
