About Hassan
Hi! I'm a native Urdu speaker and a lawyer called to the Bar of England and Wales. While my professional background is in law, I've always had a deep appreciation for Urdu, its poetry, humour, richness, and the respect it conveys. I enjoy helping people connect with the language in a meaningful way, whether that's improving their spoken Urdu, understanding poetry, or building confidence in conversation. My lessons are friendly, flexible, and tailored to your goals. Whether you're a complete beginner, looking to reconnect with your roots, or simply want to improve your Urdu, I'd be happy to help.

If you want to speak Urdu fluently and naturally want to maybe learn writing or wish you could understand Urdu poetry Enjoy thoughtful (or delightfully pointless) conversations in Urdu Want to finally reply to your elders in something more than “jee” Then come learn with me. We'll explore language, culture, expression, and yes, the occasional courtroom-sounding grammar lesson (I can’t help it, I am a lawyer). Classes are relaxed, insightful, and tailored to your goals. No pressure, just progress—and maybe some Faiz. Message me to get started. Chai not included (but highly recommended).

I connected with Hassan on Superprof as I was looking for an Urdu tutor. He was knowledgable and patient and open to my input. We practiced together weekly and he helped me write a speech I gave at my sister’s wedding. My confidence and vocab have gone up since we started working together. I’d definitely recommend him to anyone looking to learn.
