About Rachelle
I am a DC metropolitan native; I worked for Disney in their costuming department for a year where I acted as translator between the designers and sewing personnel. Afterwards I moved to NYC where I continued translating for the Spanish speaking vendors my company worked with; After the start of the pandemic I worked with adults who wanted to learn Spanish in a conversational setting as opposed to a more traditional format.

I start with a test (a conversation) to see where students are in their proficiency; from there we can build their vocabulary, improve their ear, and hasten the mental translation time period. As we progress I like to throw in situations that are likely to happen so students can use the vocabulary they have to gain confidence speaking and writing especially but also understanding that their responses are correct in order to progress the conversation along.
