About Diego

A bit more about me: I’m 24 years old (turning 25 soon!) and although I was born in Houston, I moved to Mexico when I was just 5 months old and grew up in the beautiful city of Morelia. I’m passionate about languages because I truly believe they allow us to connect with others in deeper, more meaningful ways—across cultures and borders. My love for languages actually began in high school, thanks to a German man who once said some words that “only a Mexican would understand.” That moment sparked my curiosity to learn the language of every country I visit. Oh, and I’m a big cat person.

¡Hola!

My name is Diego, and I recently moved to the United States. Since arriving, I’ve noticed that many people are interested in learning—or reconnecting with—Spanish. A lot of what we learn in school or through self-study can easily be forgotten over time, but don’t worry: that’s where I come in!

Spanish is a valuable tool, whether you're learning it for work, travel, fun, friendships—or maybe someone special. Whatever your reason, I’m here to support you.

I have 6 months of experience teaching young children. While I’m not certified (yet!), I approach teaching with professionalism, responsibility, and a genuine passion for languages. I like to keep lessons engaging and fun, but I also believe in challenging my students to grow and push themselves.

I teach all levels and all ages. Whether you’re preparing for an exam, a certification, or just want to finally feel comfortable speaking Spanish, I’d be happy to help.

In addition to Spanish and English, I also speak Dutch and four other languages (at an A1–A2 level), so I truly understand the joys and struggles of learning a new language—and how to make the process enjoyable and effective.
