About Umni
I'm a first-year medical student at the University of Leeds. I understand the struggle of exams and feeling overwhelmed, which is why I would love to help anybody looking for tuition. I am a firm believer in a calm and relaxed work environment, which is why my lessons will be tailored around your needs and how you learn best. If you aren't sure we can work on this together too.

I believe that understanding the core principles of how and why allow for better outcomes than just memorising facts. This allows students to then apply the principles to questions surrounding topics which may be unfamiliar. Being able to apply my knowledge and recognising links between topics is what helped me to achieve a Grade 8 in GCSE Biology from Burnham Grammar School as well as being a Leeds medical student.
The typical length of a lesson will be 1 hour (this can be discussed as I can be flexible.) I have had previous roles mentoring students at school and in student leadership as well as volunteering. Our first lesson will be used to discuss what you would like to work on and how I can help you with your goals as well as getting to know each other a little bit to ensure you are comfortable.
