Flavio is a respected member of our tutor community. He is highly recommended for his commitment and the quality of his lessons. An excellent choice to progress with confidence.
About Flavio
With an ambition to improve the accordion’s identity in the classical music world, Flavio has worked with various renowned composers for the creation of new original repertoire for the instrument.
He has performed with the Royal Academy Opera and Opera North companies, bringing the accordion to new environments, and also with different chamber music ensembles performing in several Music Festivals and Theatres in London.
Throughout his musical career, he found a great passion for teaching and has been giving Workshops and Masterclasses in music schools across the UK, showing the accordion’s diversity and abilities, but also helping students to find their own musical voice in their instrument of choice.

I am a graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London (Bachelor of Music with First Class Honors). I also have the LRAM certificate for teaching.
I am currently teaching accordion at the Junior Academy at the Royal Academy of Music.
My teaching method is a 1 to 1 lesson. I try to create a good professional relationship with my students from the very begging, which allows me to get to know them better and adapt my teaching methods and teaching material for each student in particular. My classes are based in technical and expressive musical aspects, which is developed within the student's repertoire.
I teach accordion from complete beginner level to grade 8 students, either looking for a more professional approach to the instrument or just a hobby. I can teach any repertoire and work with any type of accordion, with a particular focus to classical music and chromatic bass button accordions.
Online lessons are possible as well. I have experience with several online platforms which include video calls.
