Maria personalizes her lessons to meet me at the level and arena of interests that are relevant to my needs. She shifts the lesson plans so they are always interesting and offers valuable advice and assistance. Generous, smart, precise, and responsible, I've been really happy with the learning she provides!!!

I have been taking Spanish lessons with Maria for about 2 years now. She is a great teacher and her teaching style is exactly what I needed to grasp a new language. The content and teaching tools that she uses are relevant to day-to-day situations and current topics, which makes the lessons relatable. I feel confident that I can ask questions and that she will help me understand a topic/lesson that I may be struggling with. I highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to hone their Spanish skills, or learn the language completely from the beginning.

Maria is a great teacher, she is very professional and very informative in her Spanish grammar. She has helped me to improve in my Spanish grammar and understanding more of what I can improve in.

Maria is an excellent teacher. She is terrific at gauging where one is in terms of their learning, adapting lessons tailored to her students, and helping one to work through bad habits with clear explanations and practice. Very grateful for her teaching and give her my highest recommendation.

I can't recommend Maria enough to be your Spanish tutor. Maria is a joy to practice with and learn from and she has customized parts of my lessons to be specific to the reason I'm learning Spanish in the first place. She is always energetic and kind while coaching me to focus on grammar and pronunciation. You'll be pleasantly surprised how well your communication in a new language will be.

I have been taking Spanish lessons with María twice a week for the past seven months now, and she is FANTASTIC! I studied Spanish on and off for several years, but decided to get serious about learning the language when my now-husband (who is from Ecuador) proposed to me!!!
My goal is to be fluent eventually, and with María as my teacher, I am confident that I will get there. María is an absolute professional, and clearly puts in a ton of effort into organizing each lesson. She does a great job of both challenging & supporting me. My grammar, comprehension, listening, and pronunciation have all improved immensely under María's instruction, and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is serious about learning Spanish!

Maria is an awesome tutor! She has been helping me with my Spanish for several months and I feel that I have made much more progress since working with her. I like that she balances grammar lessons with authentic reading and listening practice. She is always consistent in keeping our meeting times and has been flexible when I've needed her to be a couple of times. I feel that Maria packs a lot of listening and practice into our 1-hour sessions. I leave each session feeling very motivated to continue getting better each day. I have had several Spanish tutors, but Maria is the one I am definitely sticking with!

Maria is an amazing teacher. I´ve worked with her for about a year and I plan on continuing my lessons with her until I become fluent in Spanish. Maria is dependable, knowledgeable and intelligent.

Maria has been wonderful! I was learning Spanish by myself, and I hit a point where I was not improving. I needed to start speaking with people, and I did not have the confidence. I wasn’t sure what the right bridge was so I reached out and found a tutor. Finding the right tutor for me is so important, as it has to fee relevant and interesting for me to continue learning. When I found Maria, I believe it was a great fit. Her style is beyond that of a traditional classroom, and she takes Spanish from multiple contexts to give you perspective. What she has taught me, I have been able to use in actual situations! Even days when I am tired, I am surprised how much I have retained. When something seems too difficult, she is good at gauging when to pull back.

As always, Spanish takes lots of practice and diligence! But it helps to have someone that motivates you and keeps things fresh. I definitely recommend Maria as a teacher!
