About Tala
I’m a Lebanese tutor based in Dubai with over 10 years of teaching experience, specializing in Levantine Arabic. Since 2015, I’ve helped students from around the world learn how to speak, read, and understand Arabic naturally not just formally, but the way it’s actually used in daily life.
My focus is on practical communication, clear pronunciation, and building real conversational confidence. I work with beginners to advanced learners and tailor every lesson to your goals and level.
In addition to Arabic, I also teach spoken English and grammar, helping students strengthen their overall communication skills.

I have been tutoring since 2015, working with students of different ages, nationalities, and language levels. I teach both spoken English and grammar, as well as Levantine Arabic (Lebanese, Syrian, Jordanian, and Palestinian dialects). My lessons are suitable for beginners, intermediate, and advanced learners, from kids to adults.
My Teaching Approach
My methodology is practical and conversation-based. I focus on helping students use the language naturally in real-life situations rather than memorizing rules without application.
I use:
- Structured lesson plans tailored to your level and goals
- Real-life dialogues and speaking practice
- Clear and simplified grammar explanations
- Pronunciation and accent correction
- Continuous feedback and guided correction
Every lesson is interactive and personalized. I adapt my teaching style depending on how you learn best — whether you prefer structured exercises, open conversation, or a mix of both.
Lesson Format
Typical lessons are 60 minutes, with shorter or longer sessions available depending on your preference. Sessions include speaking practice, guided exercises, and practical application to ensure steady progress.
My goal is simple: to help you build confidence, speak naturally, and truly understand the language in a clear and supportive learning environment.

I work in oil and gas in Dubai and interact with Arabic speakers almost every day. Not being able to properly communicate was always a struggle, so I decided to start learning Arabic with Tala. After around a year of lessons, I was able to comfortably hold conversations with colleagues and people I meet day to day. Tala is patient, practical, and focuses on Arabic you can actually use. I'm very grateful I found her and would highly recommend her as a tutor.
Growing up in Canada, I always understood a little Arabic because my family spoke it at home, but I never felt confident speaking it myself. After taking lessons with Tala, I finally started having conversations with my relatives in our Arabic. Her lessons were practical, patient, and focused on how people actually speak. She made learning enjoyable and helped me reconnect with my Lebanese roots. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Levantine Arabic
I was searching for an Arabic teacher and found Tala purely by chance. I had previously had lessons at an institute in Dubai, where they were teaching MSA. While it was a good start, unfortunately every-day spoken Arabic is very different which meant I felt like I was starting from scratch. However, from my first lesson with Tala I loved her approach and feel I’ve learned way more in 3 months than I did in 6 at the institute. Tala is so passionate about what she does, which makes the lessons super engaging. Not only that but she breaks down the learning process for what is a really complex language, in a way that doesn’t overwhelm but builds your confidence and motivates you to trust the process. She’s also very realistic and straight forward about the reality of learning a new language and what it takes and is very clear about what is required outside of our lessons, to enhance progress. Tala is a brilliant teacher and I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to learn Arabic.
- SophiaI’m Lebanese, but I grew up in North America. Even though Arabic was always spoken around me at home, my own Arabic was very weak. I understood bits and pieces, but I struggled to speak confidently. Family gatherings were especially uncomfortable everyone would switch to Arabic, and I’d feel disconnected from my own culture and roots.
That’s when I started learning with Tala.
Over the past four years, she has completely transformed my relationship with the language. She didn’t just teach me vocabulary and grammar she helped me reconnect with my Lebanese identity. She patiently corrected my pronunciation, explained expressions my family uses, and taught me how to actually think and respond in Levantine Arabic.
Today, I can hold full conversations with my relatives, understand jokes, and feel proud speaking my mother tongue. Tala gave me more than language skills she gave me confidence and a stronger connection to my heritage.
I truly can’t recommend her enough.
