About Robin
I am an MSc student at Imperial College London, but I'm originally from Manchester. I really love maths and helping people get to grips with it. When I tutored full time, I taught students for a year at 3 different schools, one primary and two secondary. Working full time in schools gave me experience working closely with a range of different students in terms of their understanding and their personality and the later of these two is another reason I love tutoring. I helped some students get from an 8 to a 9 in their GCSE and some from a 3 to a 4. I also helped younger students with the foundations that can be vital to understand before starting more challenging topics at GCSE and A level. I also tutored some A level pupils privately. This was great because I got the chance to work with students who had chosen to do maths and got enthusiastic about getting a better understanding of it.
In my spare time, I like to play hockey and I also love to travel. This year I went up to Scotland and saw some incredible views. I was even lucky enough to see the Northern Lights in Durness.

I like to ask lots of questions about topics you may need help with and also about the ways you have been taught them previously. This way we can pinpoint the areas that I can help by giving extra explanations and guidance. I like to learn how my students have been taught topics in the classroom so that I can try and approach them from a different angle. I usually deliver 1 hour sessions but I am flexible.
I have experience tutoring maths in schools and in person with students of all abilities from year 7 to year 13 as well as taking students through the 11+.
