Hi Potential student!
Why should you choose me?
I am currently an English teacher in a secondary school who primarily teaches year 11 in preparation for their GCSEs.
I've had great success in doing so, with a 100% pass rate year on year, with at least 70% of my two middle ability classes of 30 getting 7+ in both Lit and Lang.
I focus solely on exam technique and mark schemes, with a clear, supportive and confidence building approach
My strategies have proven to help students move up a minimum of 2 grades.
Should you choose me, here's what you should expect each 60 minute online lesson to look like:
1) Recall testing core knowledge (5 mins)
2) Input from me with a specific focus (usually an exam style question). (15 mins)
3) Live modelling part of a response with you, explaining a clear structure for you to follow (15 mins)
4)Independent practice, where you complete the response (usually under timed conditions and finished after the lesson) (15 mins)
5) Feedback from me on how to improve and what's going well. Any preparation needed for next time. (10 mins)
My mantra has always been that anybody can improve and succeed in their GCSE English exams regardless of ability. All you need to do is work hard and follow my exam structure.

About the lesson:
I’m a qualified secondary school English teacher offering online GCSE English tutoring focused on exam success and grade improvement.
My lessons are highly structured and exam-focused. Rather than general homework help, I teach students how to access higher marks by understanding examiner expectations, using clear essay frameworks, and practising under timed conditions.
Lessons are interactive and delivered online using shared exam papers, model answers, and live feedback.
