About Niall
Physics can be fun, but it’s also a serious undertaking to do an A-level in it. It's one of the hardest disciplines that takes the most work. You need skills in Maths, English and conceptual imagination. I like to find where your 'not understanding' is coming from, to see which of the skills needed should be most supported. I want to challenge you but discover the way you like to learn. If your essay questions are letting you down, we can focus on writing strategies, if your mathematical skills are the issue, I can set you work on Issacscience or from maths textbooks to bring you up to speed. If you don't get the concepts, we can look at animations, interactive applets and videos. I am aware of the stresses that students be under and the ways in which all students including those with neuro-divergence can be affected. I am respectful of all religions, backgrounds, personal life choices and identities.

Hi. I'm currently teaching access to University Physics at Bristol College but my recent experience has been teaching OCR A-level Physics at Weston College. Before that I taught Edexcel A-level Physics at grammar school. I also teach A-level maths but am not offering this as a tutored subject. If you would like help with understanding the concepts of physics but also know how to answer exam questions, then I'm happy to help. I find that lack of understanding shows a gap in knowledge from some point in the past, it may be in physics, or in maths but I like to identify these blocks and correct them before moving forward. I'm happy to approach topics from the beginning or to look at the more difficult parts that you are struggling with. I can set questions relevant to your examining board to do during the session or as homework.
