About Sahanah
Hi, I'm Sahanah. As an A Level student with a passion for science, I've had the opportunity to explore biomedicine and microbiology beyond the classroom. Alongside my studies, I volunteer in my community and have played the piano for many years, experiences that have taught me patience, discipline and communication.
Having recently achieved Grade 9s at GCSE, I know what it takes to succeed and, more importantly, how stressful the journey can feel. I'm passionate about helping students turn confusion into confidence and showing that challenging subjects can become some of their strongest.

As a current A Level student, I understand first-hand the challenges and common misconceptions within GCSE Maths, Biology and Chemistry and the pressure that comes with exams. My aim is to make difficult topics easier to understand through visual learning and an abundance of active recall as well as focusing on specific marking points for the exam boards I am teaching.
Lessons are tailored to each student's needs, whether that means reviewing class content, strengthening weaker areas, preparing for exams, or working through practice questions together. I focus on building confidence as well as improving grades, as I believe students perform best when they genuinely understand the material. Understanding is always quicker and more effective than memorising
A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes a mixture of teaching, worked examples, exam-style questions, and opportunities for students to ask questions in a relaxed environment.
I achieved Grade 9s at GCSE and have also gained experience through work placements and opportunities in biomedicine and microbiology, giving me a deeper understanding of the scientific concepts taught at school.
My lessons are primarily aimed at GCSE students and younger secondary school students looking to improve their understanding, confidence, and exam performance in Maths, Biology, or Chemistry, my primary goal will be to help students achieve a grade 9 in the subject I teach them.
