About Emma
My name is Emma Rodriguez Gooch and I am currently an undergraduate student at Vassar College, a liberal arts institution in upstate New York. I live in Chicago IL, and am able to tutor in-person in Chicago this summer or online for students in any area. I am studying sociology and biology, but am particularly skilled at essay and research paper writing as well as personal narratives and creative writing. I believe that writing is an important aspect of professional and academic endeavors and am excited to help students express themselves and their ideas in their writing!

I am someone who prioritizes student ideas and methods of learning. My lesson plans will vary from student to student based on their individual needs which will be assessed during a first consultation. I can help students create personal essays for projects, school, or college/job applications for example. I can also tutor in a more general approach focusing on literary and writing skills as a whole depending on the student's academic level!
