About Maricar
Hello! I'm Maricar A. Zamora, a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education major in Mathematics and several years of experience teaching and tutoring students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.
I believe that every student can succeed in math with the right guidance, encouragement, and learning approach. My goal is to make mathematics less intimidating by breaking down complex concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps. I create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing with confidence.

Mathematics is often seen as a difficult subject, but I believe every student has the ability to succeed when they're taught with patience, encouragement, and the right approach. As a Licensed Professional Teacher (LPT) with a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education major in Mathematics, my mission is to transform confusion into confidence and help students discover that they are capable of achieving more than they ever imagined.
My lessons are never one-size-fits-all. Every student learns differently, so I design each session around their unique strengths, challenges, and goals. I use interactive discussions, visual explanations, guided problem-solving, and real-world examples to make abstract concepts meaningful and easy to understand. Instead of simply teaching students how to solve a problem, I teach them how to think critically, recognize patterns, and become independent learners.
A typical lesson begins with a friendly check-in and a quick review to reinforce previous learning. We then explore a new concept step by step, working through examples together before students apply their knowledge independently with my guidance. Every session ends with a recap, personalized feedback, and strategies they can confidently use beyond our classroom.
What truly sets me apart is my commitment to building confidence as much as competence. I celebrate every milestone—whether it's mastering multiplication, solving algebraic equations, or simply feeling brave enough to ask questions. I work with students from elementary through high school, supporting learners of all ability levels—from those who need a stronger foundation to those preparing for exams or seeking advanced challenges. My goal is not just to help students earn better grades, but to help them develop the confidence, resilience, and problem-solving skills that will benefit them long after the lesson ends.
