About Teacherlara
Hello, my name is Lara Kaye Recto and I am a Licensed Professional Teacher here in the Philippines whose goal is to make learning happen through evidence-based teaching. With my Master of Arts in Education degree from the University of the Philippines and my bachelor’s degree from the Philippine Normal University, I have gained ten years of experience in elementary teaching. Some of my latest positions were Grade 4 Homeroom and English Teacher at Ateneo de Manila Grade School until May 2026 and Content Writer and Editor for Twinkl Educational Publishing.

As a professional, over the years I have made sure that I am using all possible digital tools to help make classroom interactions more productive and engaging. I am well versed in basic productivity software such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. I use Canva for designing effective instructional resources that can be easily understood by students. My experience further lies in operating and making use of different Learning Management Systems (LMS) to conduct seamless and planned hybrid classes. Apart from digital teaching, my expertise also lies in providing strong guidance and mentoring to students in terms of leadership.
