About Maria
Hello! I’m Maria, a licensed teacher from the Philippines with a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and a Master’s degree in Special Education, with a focus on children with autism. I also have a background in Computer Applications and hold teaching licenses in Special Education and K–12 Technology.
I believe that every student can learn when they are given the right support, encouragement, and teaching approach. My goal is not simply to help students finish their lessons or assignments, but to help them understand what they are learning, build confidence, and become more independent learners.

My lessons are personalized, patient, and designed around each student’s individual learning needs and goals.
I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes without fear of being judged. During our lessons, I take time to understand what the student already knows, identify areas where they need support, and explain concepts in a simple and easy-to-understand way.
For children and elementary students, I use age-appropriate explanations, examples, practice activities, and positive encouragement to keep lessons engaging and enjoyable. I can provide support with English, reading, writing, grammar, elementary subjects, homework, study skills, and basic computer skills.
I also have a background in Special Education, so I can provide additional patience and individualized learning support for students who may learn differently, including children who benefit from structured, step-by-step instruction.
