About Malorie

Hello!

I am Malorie, I'm originally from New York City, but I am now living in London for a Master's degree in linguistics.

I graduated with a BA in linguistics in 2022, and have been teaching English and Spanish individually and in class settings. I received my TESOL certificate in 2022, certifying my ability to teach English Language Learners of all levels. I have been tutoring students in Spanish for the past 5 years. I am able to help with linguistics and ELA students as well.

Who My Lessons Are For
My lessons are ideal for:

Beginners: Starting your journey with a solid foundation.

Intermediate learners: Gaining confidence in speaking and comprehension.

Advanced speakers: Polishing fluency and mastering idiomatic expressions.

Ages: Children, teens, and adults of all backgrounds.

Why Choose Me?
With a professional, student-focused approach, I aim to create a safe and encouraging environment where you can thrive. My lessons are not just about learning a language but also about building your confidence to use it in everyday life.

I look forward to helping you achieve your language goals. Let’s get started!

About the lesson

My teaching philosophy revolves around personalization and immersion. I tailor each lesson to the student's goals, learning style, and proficiency level, combining traditional grammar and vocabulary instruction with practical communication exercises. I use conversational practice to build confidence in real-life scenarios.
My lessons typically range from 30 to 60 minutes. I am more than happy to be flexible and fit your schedule.
I have been teaching Spanish to classes and one-on-one instruction for over 4 years. I graduated with a BA in linguistics, and I'm currently getting my master's in linguistics. I am a native Spanish speaker and use conversational Spanish in my daily life.
My typical students are adult learners, but I have plenty of experience with kids ages 5 to 15. I am able to teach speakers anywhere from A1 to C2.

Malorie was a Spanish tutor for my daughter for about 8 months. My daughter is 15, and Spanish was always her most challenging subject, but there was a noticeable improvement in her grades after starting tutoring with Malorie. She was friendly and personable, my daughter had great things to say about her. Malorie's style of teaching was coherent and engaging, I especially recommend her for sassy teenagers LOL!

I hired Malorie as an after-school Spanish tutor for my 7 and 10 year old kids, they loved her! They always looked forward to her lessons, she always made sure they were engaging and age-appropriate. She designed games based on what they like (my little one loves Frozen, she taught her the songs in Spanish!) It was so sweet to see my kids enjoy learning with Malorie, I couldn't recommend her enough!

Malorie is a very nice and effective English teacher. She helped me feel confident in my speaking. I was scared to take lessons because I am 44 years old but she made me feel like we are old friends having conversation. She is wonderful
