About Lisa

Hi I’m Lisa, originally from Okinawa, and I spent 10 years as a traditional singer before coming to Ireland. Moving from Japan to a completely different culture taught me how challenging it can be to learn a new language especially when it’s far from your own and you don’t have many chances to speak with native speakers. My goal is to bring the language and culture to you in a natural, comfortable way, so you can learn real conversation, understand cultural nuances, and feel more connected to Japan. I want you to feel confident, supported, and a little closer to the country behind the language. I’m friendly and patient, and we’ll make learning Japanese fun!

About the lesson

My lessons focus on helping you feel confident and enjoy real communication with Japanese speakers. Whether you want to sound more natural, understand cultural context, or improve your business interactions, I’m here to support you and guide you toward more enjoyable, meaningful conversations.

Every student learns differently, so each lesson plan is built just for you. We’ll start by talking about your goals, whether you want casual everyday conversation, polite and formal business Japanese, or even the ability to read manga. I’ll meet you at your current level and create a clear, comfortable plan to help you grow step by step.

My aim is to make Japanese feel approachable, personal, and fun, so you can learn in a way that truly fits you.
