About Alexa

I have ample experience editing both creative and scholarly works. I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023, with a Bachelor's in English Literature and Nonfiction Writing. Here, I accumulated 50+ hours of tutoring ESL Pittsburgh Public School youth, at JFCS Pittsburgh. In my undergraduate years, I also worked at Sampsonia Way, a magazine dedicated to amplifying the voices of writers at risk. It is here, as well as my writing workshops, that I learned the art of cohering a piece of writing to perfection. I have worked with a wide range of age groups, including middle school and high school students, college undergraduates, working adults.

I am currently employed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of South Florida, where I teach English Composition.

My teaching methods are individually tailored to your learning needs. I teach middle school students, high school students, college undergraduates, and working adults! Let's refine your résumé, workshop your papers, and discuss the bones of what makes a great essay.

You can expect a typical lesson plan to include how to: refine your thesis, gather academic sources for an essay, redress recurrent grammatical errors, structure an essay, make your résumé shine, use AI in a generative way. Most importantly, you can expect a lesson plan to tailor itself to your most pressing learning needs! You are the star of the show, I am here to guide your writing to its highest potential.
