About Destiny
Bonjour! :) My name is Destiny, and I am a university graduate in French and English Studies with over 10 years of experience working with youth as both a tutor and camp educator. I have worked in Toronto, Québec, and France and also speak Cantonese.
My lessons are tailored to each student's individual needs, learning style, and goals. Whether you're looking to improve your grades, strengthen your language skills, prepare for an exam, or build confidence in French, I will create a personalized plan to help you succeed.
I believe learning should be encouraging rather than stressful, and I strive to create a positive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills at their own pace!

MY TEACHING APPROACH
If you’re looking for a patient, encouraging, and dedicated French teacher, you’re in the right place! I create personalized lessons tailored to each student’s level, learning style, pace, and goals with the use of fun games, worksheets and flashcards. Beyond teaching the language itself, I help students develop effective study strategies so they can continue improving with confidence outside of our lessons.
My approach is student-centered, supportive, and focused on building both skills and self-confidence. I specialize in French immersion help, reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and conversational French practice. Whether you want to strengthen your academic abilities, improve your communication skills, or feel more comfortable using French in everyday situations, my goal is to make learning engaging, accessible, and enjoyable for every student.

I know Destiny personally and have seen first-hand how patient, encouraging, and supportive she is when helping others learn. She has helped me with French, and what I appreciated most was her calm and clear teaching style. She explains things in a way that feels approachable, without ever making you feel judged for asking questions or not understanding immediately.
A shared experience that stood out to me was when she helped me work through French phrases and explanations that I was struggling with. She took the time to break things down properly, made sure I felt comfortable, and helped me feel more confident afterwards. Destiny is kind, reliable, and genuinely invested in helping people improve, which is why I would highly recommend her as a tutor.View more recommendations
