About Joshua
Having completed the MPhilStud in Philosophy at UCL, and the Philosophy MA at Birkbeck, I will be starting my PhD at UCL in the Autumn. I have a thorough experience in philosophy at a high level, specialising in the theoretical areas, such as metaphysics, epistemology, and metaethics. In undertaking the PhD, I will also be a Post Graduate Teaching Assistant within the UCL Philosophy Department.

My teaching method is predicated on the particular student that I am responsible for at any one time. Learning about my student's needs and methods is a key part of my teaching, and I like to make sure I mould the experience to the methods that suit them best. Each person is unique, and there is more than one way to learn!
Whether you are approaching Philosophy for the first time in Sixth Form or at University, I am happy to help. My first session will be structured around understanding what our learning objectives should be, based on your strengths and weaknesses and awareness of the area. Once our learning objectives are clear, I will proceed to draw up some lesson plans for meeting these objectives. These plans will be flexible, and can change based on your response to the lessons and the material. Particularly, I specialise in developing communicative abilities and analytical skills essential for the skilled philosopher.
