About Grant
I always thought I was inherently bad at math. It wasn't until midway through calculus-II that I discovered I simply had never given myself enough patience to break down problems in a concrete, approachable way. In my professional life, I began to find that I had built up a set of skills from "being bad at math" that actually gave me a large amount of flexibility in my thinking. Far from "bad at math", I actually understood mathematics better than many of my peers. Since then, I have enrolled in Northwestern's Masters' of Data Science where I am currently in my final year of school, studying artificial intelligence, statistics and data modeling.

Hi - I'm Grant.
Far from a natural student, I know what it means to work through difficult problems and develop your own ways of solving them. With experience ranging from bike-mechanic to biochemist, my real-world approach to math and science will never leave you wondering "when will I ever need this?". Good teaching is a collaboration in finding new ways to view the world. I want to know what excites you. How can math and science make your life more interesting?
I focus on middle and high-school, through AP and 100-level college. I'm also available for higher-level bioscience including biochemistry and physiology.
