About Clara
I am a marine science student from the University of Hawaii. I have been working for the university for 3 years as a science tutor and have assisted students from many different backgrounds including ESL. I can help with understanding concepts, working through assignments, and developing successful academic habits.

As a tutor, my job is to help students develop learning skills and strategies that will set them up for success in their academic career. At the beginning of each session we will identify what task needs to be accomplished and break it into parts. The next step is to talk though the student's thought process when approaching the task and work though the task together. Each session ends with the student summarizing the underlying concepts and processes and finally, setting goals for after the session.
