(A) Mandarin Lessons for Kids (Under 15)
For children, I design one‑hour Mandarin lessons that are fun, structured, and aligned with academic goals. My step‑by‑step approach includes games, songs, and storytelling to spark interest, while also covering vocabulary and grammar that match the Malaysian school syllabus.
I provide practice exercises and clear notes after each class so students can revise at home and parents can monitor progress.
I integrate examples from their daily life, such as school routines, local foods, cultural events and folk songs to make learning relatable. This helps children not only succeed academically but also connect Mandarin to their everyday experiences, building confidence in both exams and real‑life communication.
(B) Mandarin Lessons for Adults
For adults, my one‑hour lessons are tailored to fit busy lifestyles and practical goals. I use a personalised, step‑by‑step method that emphasizes real‑life conversations, professional vocabulary, and cultural insights.
Each class includes structured practice and notes, making it easy to review between sessions. Adults benefit from exercises that strengthen fluency while respecting their time and commitments.
My freelance tutoring experience, combined with translation work, allows me to bring both precision and practical application to every lesson. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine existing skills, I help you progress steadily toward confident communication in Mandarin.

I had a few online lessons with her as I live in London and she was very precise and organized in her approach. She was quick to help with any extra requests I made to her and helped me understand the topic better.
If you want someone who is organized and very methodical in their teaching method Robin is your gal!"I took lesson from Robin and found her teaching to be helpful. She had a good understanding of the subject matter and was able to explain things clearly. I see huge improvement in my grades and feel more confident in my understanding of the material. Overall, I would recommend this tutor for anyone looking for extra help in chemistry and biology."
