About Madison
I am an elementary school teacher in Chicago Public Schools. I have a BA in Psychology and an MA in Teaching from University of Chicago. I have over six years of experience working in classrooms and public schools, each year learning more about myself as an educator and lifelong learner! I believe every student enters education with their own personal background, therefore, it is essential to meet students where they are and grow along with them.

I have worked with kids in Kindergarten up to 8th grade and specialize in the elementary grades (particularly 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade). I am super passionate about reading and math and have a lot of experience creating my own hands-on activities and lesson plans for my students. I believe in first creating a trusting, familiar relationship with my students so they can be fully engaged in learning. My goal is to make learning fun and individualized so students get to learn in a way that is best for them!

Madison was a wonderful tutor for my kids! My 1st grader was having some trouble with addition and needed a little bit of extra help at home and Madison was so patient and kind. He even asked to have some extra sessions because he was having so much fun. We also had her to help my 4th grade daughter get over her writers block and really come to learn to love reading. She is super patient and really does great with the kids. She is a teacher during the year and has so much experience in the classroom that managing one or two little ones at home is a walk in the park. She helped my kids love learning. I really couldn't recommend Madison enough!!!!
