About Sarah

I am a Master’s student of Applied Linguistics with an undergraduate background in literature, writing, and science. I have seven years of tutoring experience in a variety of subjects including math, writing, and biology. Teaching is one of my passions, and I love sharing that passion with my students! For more information, please visit my website at (concealed information)

About the lesson

PLEASE NOTE! I do not currently have evening availability in MDT time zone. I believe that the best teaching methodology is able to flexibly adapt to students’ strengths and weaknesses. During the first few classes I typically assess the student's academic level as well as his or her learning style. I believe that the classroom setting should be comfortable and encouraging, as well as rigorous. Writing lessons each focus on a single, feasible topic. We will polish up basic skills, practice specific tricks to improve writing, and play brain-strengthening games to get those words flowing! Feel free to contact me via my website (concealed information)

I needed Sarah for reading and math help with my kids. She is great at motivating my kids and teaching them how to think for themselves. She prepares lesson plans that blend clear explanations with fun activities, so they really enjoy her classes (especially the games). :)

Want to hire me for more than one hour in person? I discount! My in-person pricing is based mainly on my drive time. For a one-hour class, I have to calculate about 2 hours of work time for me. This means that longer classes, or consecutive classes in the same place are wonderful! I don't have to add drive time and am happy to lower my hourly fee.
