About Juanita

Hello everyone! ¡Hola a todos! I'll tell you five qualities that will make you want a lesson with me: Passion: Enthusiasm and love for the language, inspiring students. Patience: Helping beginners and creating a supportive learning environment. Adaptability: Using different teaching methods. Hopefulness: Believing in student progress. Development of good relationships with students. Additional to that, I'll tell you a little bit about myself: I'm Juanita, Colombian, and currently living in Bogotá. I'm a native Spanish speaker, so if you're interested in learning or practicing Spanish, I'd love to help and guide you through this wonderful world and the beauty of Spanish. I'm a very fun, friendly, and patient person. If you decide to take classes with me, I'll make them as interactive and comfortable as possible, adapting them to your needs and goals. (If you're worried about my possible accent or dialect, I can tell you that the Bogotá accent is one of the most neutral and easy to understand, according to several Spanish students and foreigners.) I'm looking forward to see you soon! ¡Nos vemos pronto!

About the lesson

My Spanish teaching technique is to offer conversational Spanish. If you speak from day one, you'll discover that it's possible to have real conversations with native speakers much sooner than you think.

If you don't know how to get started, don't worry, I've got your back! In my online conversation classes, I'll guide you from being an absolute beginner in Spanish to having your first conversation with a native speaker in just one week.

Perfect! Juanita es una tutora excelente. Es divertida y muy agradable, pero también muy profesional. Me ayuda a mantener el rumbo; llevo con ella apenas un mes y ya he notado una mejora significativa en mi fluidez al hablar español. No podría recomendarla más encarecidamente.

Juanita is an excellent tutor. She is fun and very pleasant, but also very professional. She helps me stay on track; I’ve only been working with her for a month, and I’ve already noticed a significant improvement in my fluency when speaking Spanish. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Perfect! Juanita is great with devising a schedule to help you stay on track with your learning goals! I like the way she listened to what I needed and adjusted the lessons to accommodate me. She gently corrects me and helps me remember “why” answers are correct, and this is so very helpful to me!
